I started a few days ago on 8 grams a day and since today with 3 grams of glucose on top. I feel strange. Jittery. With heat flashes. Mentally bad. All in all it feels like stopping to take antidepressants so I hope it’s not somehow interfering with the Venlafaxin my doctor prescribed.

But it’s the first time in a long while that I’m feeling anything from anything I tried so I will keep taking it a while longer.

Here’s a study on the subject. https://www.deutschesgesundheitsportal.de/2024/06/03/long-covid-symptomlinderung-mit-kreatin-plus-glukose/

I’m already way ahead of you. It doesn’t make me feel much better, but at least helps make my PEM feel less severe.

But I always seem to forget that I take it at all and just list it under “supplements”. Although it has been the first thing that had any positive effect.

The other day I accidentally took my morning pills in the evening as well and felt really good the next morning. I have since been experimenting to see which one of them it was that helped so well. I thought it was the Famotidin because it’s “real medicine”. And it does seem to help me to take double dosage. But the taurine is definitely getting the same treatment tonight.

        What’s PEM?

Post Exertional Malaise, number 1 symptom of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, what this community is about.

I’m not trying to bulk up. I’m trying to leave my bed. 😁

Interesting, for me the symptoms start within seconds of exercise beginning. I suspect it’s some kind of mitochondrial disorder but it goes away when I get sick like with a cold
